Intensive Care department No. 2 (neurostroke resuscitation department) as a separate structural unit of the RMC began functioning in 2010 and is engaged in intensive therapy and resuscitation of patients with purulent-septic complications and requiring replacement therapy, including acute hemodialysis, plasmapheresis.

The intensive care and intensive care unit is designed for 6 beds, deployed in two wards, equipped with modern equipment for respiratory support, monitoring and treatment of patients of almost all nosological groups. These are patients with traumatological, neurosurgical, gynecological, surgical and general therapeutic profiles. There is an isolator-block of especially dangerous infections.

The department widely uses modern methods of treating severely burned patients (fluidizing devices, nutritive support with drugs for clinical nutrition, and efferent methods of plasmapheresis detoxification).

Positive experience has been accumulated in the treatment of patients with "supercritical" burns - 50% or more from the body surface. For treatment of this category of patients, the department has 1 fluidizing unit “Clinitron” (France), which allows achieving positive treatment results in a shorter time.

The department has a hyperbaric oxygenation room equipped with three pressure chambers, the therapy of which is provided to patients who are in both inpatient and outpatient care. Clinical and physiological effects observed during the course of barotherapy: immunocorrective, detoxification, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, reparative, decongestant, antihypoxic, compression (with intestinal paresis), potentiation of antibiotics.

The department staff provides emergency resuscitation and intensive care, replacement of vital functions for patients with purulent-septic pathology (including pathology of pregnancy and the postpartum period), victims of severe polytrauma, acute renal failure of any genesis. Doctors of the department provide counseling in other hospitals in the city and region with the transfer of the most severe contingent of septic patients and patients with acute renal failure.

Resuscitation chambers have equipment with a central wiring of oxygen. Expanded 1 place for acute hemodialysis. All patients come for emergency care from specialized departments, admission department, intensive care room and directly from the operating room.

Intensive care aimed at improving cerebral circulation, restoration of impaired functions of the nervous system (motor, sensory, autonomic spheres, etc.) is carried out for patients in ICU for the treatment of patients with stroke.

New methods of neurometabolic protection of the damaged brain contribute to the restoration of memory, thinking of a person who has a vascular catastrophe (cerebral stroke) against the background of high blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbances, diabetes mellitus, and widespread atherosclerosis. All patients undergoing treatment in our department undergo a complete clinical, biochemical, instrumental study. The diagnosis of stroke is confirmed by a magnetic resonance imaging study. For a dynamic study of the state of the vessels of the brain, an ultrasound technique is used that allows you to determine the degree of vascular damage. Using a comprehensive examination of the patient, the most correct and effective treatment technique is selected individually for each patient.

The wards of the department comply with the requirements of sanitary standards, equipped with functional beds, with which it is possible to establish the therapeutic position of the patient. For the most severe patients, it is possible to connect an anti-decubitus mattress to reduce purulent-septic complications that are present in almost all patients who have had a stroke.

The department is equipped with modern tracking equipment for monitoring the work of the cardiovascular system, respiratory organs. For patients with respiratory disorders, modern devices for artificial lung ventilation are used.
