DOCTORS SAVED A PATIENT'S KIDNEY
Laparoscopic kidney resection was performed for the first time in the urology department of a multidisciplinary regional hospital. Previously, a patient with this diagnosis had undergone complete surgery to remove the kidney. Now only surgery is performed to remove the area affected by the tumor while preserving the kidney. A patient born in 1960 was admitted with a diagnosis of right-sided renal mass. The size of the tumor in the kidneys is 4.0×4.0 cm. After preoperative preparation, the patient successfully underwent laparoscopic surgery for kidney resection. The operation was performed by Erkinin Iskakov, assistant Zhasulan Dostaurov, anesthesiologist Zhanarys Zhakhanov, and nurse Asel Smailova. The patient has fully recovered and has now been discharged from the hospital.
