The Department of Urology with 25 beds has been operating since 2002. The Department provides emergency and planned assistance to the population of the Kyzylorda region.

The following methods of examination are used in the department:

1. full examination: ultrasound (rectal sensor) of the pelvic organs, abdominal cavity, kidney, prostate, bladder, cystoscopy;

2. in the laboratory of the urology department analyzes are performed:

• urological smear on flora

• spermogram

• diagnosis of urolithiasis (review in / in urography, retrograde pyelography, CT scan

• magnetic resonance imaging, cystography

• blood tests

• urine tests (general and urine analysis according to Nechyporenko)

• blood chemistry

• hormone screening

• for sexually transmitted infections (including rapid tests)

• seeding on antibiotic susceptibility

• tumor markers (early diagnosis of prostate cancer), etc.

3. treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases;

4. emergency care for renal colic, acute cystitis and acute urinary retention;

5. diagnosis and qualitative urological treatment of a wide range of urological diseases and infections.

Emergency Urology:

surgery of the kidneys, ureters, prostate, bladder, external genitalia;

urological assistance in acute (urgent) conditions:

• renal colic

• acute urinary retention

• gross hematuria (presence of blood in the urine)

• acute pyelonephritis, paraphimosis, etc.

• replacement of urological drains (Foley catheter, Pezzer, etc.)

Surgical Andrology:

Endoscopic surgery for benign and malignant tumors of the bladder (transurethral resection).

Surgery for bladder dysfunction, as well as for hyperplasia (benign enlargement of the prostate and narrowing of the urethra)

Transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR)

Open trans-vesicular adenomectomy

Endoscopic surgery on the urethra (urethra)

Treatment of congenital anomalies:

Plastic reconstructions for congenital genital defects (for phimosis, hypospadias, epispadias, testicular ectopia, bladder exstrophy)

Laparoscopy for cryptorchidism

Plastic reconstructions for kidney and ureter anomalies, pyelourethral contraction plasty, for double kidney, with vesicoureteral reflux

Treatment of urolithiasis:

- Ureterorenoscopy

- Extracorporal crushing of stones

- Conservative drug therapy of urolithiasis

- Nephrolithotomy with large stones

- Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy

Treatment of coral stone of the kidney using percutaneous nephrolithotripsy.

Traditional surgery:

- short bridle of the penis;

- phimosis

- restoration of the foreskin

- penile oleogranulema

- genital warts

- dropsy of testicular membranes

- cysts of the epididymis and spermatic cord

- varicocele

Currently, new diagnostic and operational aids have been developed and continue to be developed, which allow for diseases urinary system in most cases to avoid open surgery and anesthesia, and without changing the fundamental principles of treatment, to achieve the same result, but with a significantly lower risk for the patient and the organ.

Employees of the department improve their scientific and practical activities by participating in international seminars, congresses of urologists of Kazakhstan.

Over the past 3 years, the department’s employees have released 2 books, published over 50 articles, including in such publications, as a collection of materials of the Congress of Urology of Kazakhstan and the Second Eurasian Andrological Congress, a collection of works of the XI Young Conference medical scientists of the CIS countries, in the national journals "Science and Healthcare", "Valeology-Densaulyk-Auru-Sauyktyru".

Doctors-urologists for their tireless work for the benefit of the population of the region were awarded incentive certificates and medals in honor of the 70th anniversary Kyzylorda region.
