The Urology department with 25 beds has been operating since 2002. The department provides emergency and planned assistance to the population of the Kyzylorda region.

The department uses the following examination methods:

1. Complete examination: ultrasound (rectal sensor) of the pelvic organs, abdominal cavity,

kidney, prostate, bladder, cystoscopy;

2. The urology department analyzes are performed in the laboratory of the hospital:

computed tomography

3. Treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases;

4. Emergency care for renal colic, acute cystitis and acute urinary retention;

5. Diagnosis and high-quality urological treatment of a wide range of urological diseases and infections.

Emergency Urology:

surgery of kidneys, ureters, prostate, bladder,external genitalia;

Surgical andrology:

- Endoscopic surgery for benign and malignant tumors of the bladder (transurethral resection).

- Operations for bladder dysfunction, as well as for hyperplasia (benign enlargement of the prostate and narrowing of the urethra)

- Transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR)

- Open transubesical adenomectomy

- Endoscopic operations on the urethra (urethra)

Treatment of congenital anomalies

- Plastic reconstructions for congenital genital defects (phimosis, hypospadias, epispadias, testicular ectopia, and bladder exstrophy)

- Laparoscopy for cryptorchidism

- Plastic reconstructions for kidney and ureter abnormalities, plastic surgery for pyelourethral constriction, with a doubled kidney, and with vesico-ureteral reflux

Treatment of urolithiasis:

- Ureterorenoscopy

- Extracorporeal stone crushing

- Conservative drug therapy of urolithiasis

- Nephrolithotomy for large stones

- Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy

Treatment of coralloid kidney stone by percutaneous nephrolithotripsy.

Traditional surgery:

- short frenulum of the penis;

- phimosis

- restoration of the foreskin

- oleogranuloma of the penis

- genital warts

- dropsy of the testicular membranes

- cysts of the epididymis and spermatic cord

- varicocele

Currently, new diagnostic and surgical aids have been mastered and continue to be developed, allowing for diseases of the genitourinary system in most cases to avoid open surgery and anesthesia, and without changing the fundamental principles of treatment, to achieve the same result, but with significantly less risk to the patient and the organ.

The staff of the department enhance their scientific and practical activities by participating in international seminars and congresses of urologists in Kazakhstan.

Over the past 3 years, the department staff has published 2 books, published more than 50 articles, including in such publications as the proceedings of the Congress of Urologists of Kazakhstan and the II Eurasian Andrological Congress, the proceedings of the XI Conference of Young Medical Scientists of the CIS countries, in the republican journals "Science and Healthcare", "Valeology-Densaulyk-The aura is Sauiktyr."

For their tireless work for the benefit of the region's population, urologists were awarded certificates of appreciation and medals in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Kyzylorda region.
