The department is deployed in 25 beds: 12 - operational; 13 - for the treatment of conservative methods and artificial termination of pregnancy.

The formation and development of obstetric and gynecological services of the regional hospital is inextricably linked with the opening in 1925 in the city of Kyzylorda of the regional national clinical hospital, which had in its composition all specialized departments, including obstetric and gynecological for 25 beds. In 1953, a maternity hospital with 50 beds was opened as part of the surgical department of the joint hospital. Further development of obstetric and gynecological care became possible thanks to the construction in 1967 in the city of a new typical regional hospital, where a gynecological department with 60 beds was deployed.
