The emergency room is an important advisory, treatment and diagnostic department, intended for registration, admission, initial examination, anthropometry, sanitary-hygienic treatment of incoming patients and provision of qualified (emergency) medical care.

The main functions of the receiving department:

Reception and registration of patients;

Medical examination of patients;

Provision of emergency medical care;

Determination of inpatient department for hospitalization of patients;

Sanitary and hygienic treatment of patients;

Registration of relevant medical documentation;

Transportation of patients;

The following rooms are located in the reception:

• Waiting Room;

• Registry (nurse's office), one or several examination rooms;

• A cabinet for receiving surgical and therapeutic patients;

• The treatment room - provides emergency procedures: gastric lavage, cleansing enemas, etc;

• Insulation Chamber;

• sanitary inspection room;

• laboratory;

• X-ray room;

• Ultrasound cabinet;

• ECG room;

• Dressing room - small operating room;

• Diagnostic wards for dynamic monitoring of temporarily unknown patients;

Patients can be delivered to the emergency department in the following ways:

With ambulance: different types of injuries, various poisonings, acute pains and exacerbation of chronic diseases;

In the direction of the district doctor with the ineffectiveness of outpatient treatment;

Transfer from other medical institutions (by agreement with the administration);

Transportation of seriously ill rural districts, from the area through air transport;

With self-treatment of the patient;

Scheduled hospitalization is carried out within the framework of the Unified National Health System, through the portal “Bureau of Hospitalization”.

To improve the quality of medical services in the emergency room, in each office a specialized SOS system was installed to quickly call the necessary specialists to the emergency room for seriously ill patients.
