On March 2, 2021, a man came to the emergency room of a multidisciplinary regional hospital for moderate pain in the epigastric region. According to the patient, about 8 hours ago, he swallowed a mobile phone.

An urgent X-ray of the abdominal organs was performed, where foreign bodies were found: a mobile phone and a nail.

The danger was that the phone has a battery, which at any time can lead to a burn of the gastric mucosa up to perforation. After a consultation of specialists, the foreign body was successfully removed using a flexible endoscope. The figure shows foreign bodies removed from the gastrointestinal tract.
