The blood transfusion department has been operating since 1969. At that time, it was engaged in blood procurement and its functions were to ensure the needs of the regional hospital and districts of the region, and, in addition, the definition of group and rhesus accessories. The credit for its discovery belongs to Abdullaev Sh.N. For a long time only the medical sister Kapralova LM worked here.

In 1986, instead of whole blood, the department first switched to component procurement. The work with donors was carried out until 2001, when the regional medical center was opened and the regional blood center was relocated to its territory. Until 2001, the functions of the MIC, apart from the procurement of blood components, included storage and distribution of hemodynamic and protein substitutes in the departments.

At the moment, the military-industrial complex has been renamed the transfusiology cabinet, its functions include the determination of group and rhesus-related blood in planned and emergency patients in the daytime. Here, the entire infusion-transfusion therapy at the RMC is kept; since 1998, therapeutic plasmapheresis has been performed. In 2006, the definition of blood group and Rhesus-related blood was introduced using the method of monoclonal antibodies (polyclones), and since 2008, the entire RMC has completely switched to this method as more informative and accurate. In 2015, an even more accurate and progressive method of gel serology of blood groups was introduced during the final study of the blood of recipients, which, among other things, allows you to determine anti-erythrocyte antibodies and prevent unwanted complications in blood recipients.

The office staff conduct classes with doctors and middle honey. staff of the RMC, as well as provide methodological assistance to clinical departments on transfusiology, conduct routine inspections and certification of employees.

In 1998, for the first time in the region, there were 4 sessions of therapeutic therapeutic plasmapheresis, and since then the number of sessions has steadily increased. Currently, more than 3 thousand procedures are carried out per year. In just over 17 years of its use, more than 30 thousand sessions have been performed in more than 4 thousand patients.

In 2003, the department received a German-made device “Hemonetic” for continuous plasmapheresis, in which over 800 patients received treatment for 10 years. In 2010, an apparatus for carrying out membrane plasmapheresis "Hemofenix" was obtained, during which over 180 sessions were conducted over 5 years.

Currently, the Transfusiology office is located on the 5th floor of a typical multi-field hospital. There are 2 chambers for therapeutic plasmapheresis, an operating room for determining group and Rhesus blood supplies, an office for storing a stock of transfusion media, utility rooms. By order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a round-the-clock post was introduced to issue blood components to the departments. The plasma thawing apparatus was introduced into the work, according to the MRH - “inline” transfusion solution heaters. For the first time in the region, in 2013, Perftoran was used - gas-transport emulsion, hemosorption using the “Hemofenix” apparatus and using the “Alteko E” hemosorbent.
